Balance is the key to everything in life and it is no different when it comes to your body and your health. Here are some tips you can use to keep the balance happening in your healthy lifestyle.
Nutrition - Eat lots of fresh Fruit & Vegetables. Eat as much as you can in its raw form or only slightly cooked to get the greatest nutritional benefit. Aim for at least 2 serves of fruit & 5 serves of vegetables a day to help protect against a number of diseases and maintain a healthy weight. Mix it up - eat a variety of vegetables rather than just the same ones all the time to ensure you are making the most out of their varying health benefits.
Water - Ensure you drink 8 glasses of water a day. This keeps you hydrated and flushes any toxins out of your system.
Sleep - An average person requires 8 hours of sleep a day. This tends to be neglected a lot in the busy world but it has huge health benefits. Sleep helps our body repair itself after everything we have put it through throughout the day. Lack of sleep can suppress your immune system and makes you more vulnerable to illnesses.
Exercise - Ensure you are exercising for at least 30 minutes a day. Exercise releases hormones into your body which makes you feel happy and more relaxed. Exercise can help you with weight loss and fighting against illness and disease. If you are unable to do your exercise routine some days try to do a few simple things like park the car further away from your destination and walk the rest of the trip, or take the stairs rather than the elevator.
Sunshine - 10 minutes of sunshine will help to boost your vitamin D levels. It also helps your body release hormones making you feel happy, calm and relaxed.
